Intelligent Low Cost Sci Fi Movie

Code 8 jumps into an alternate Earth where mutants are a large minority of people that, in spite of their powers, are discriminated against. It is a place like the United States, in the metropolis of Lincoln City, built as the “City of Tomorrow”, where the spinal fluid of mutants (“Powers”) is sold by the underground as the drug of choice.

The production costs are low, but the acting is good, and the story, while predictable, is good. If you like fun, thought provoking sci-fi, you’ll enjoy spending an afternoon watching Code 8.
